The Cardinal Archbishop of Madrid, Antonio Maria Rouco Varela, will inaugurate on Saturday, November 3 The Parish of Blessed Manuel Gonzalez (Paseo de Gregorio Marañón, 9) located in the suburb of San Sebastian de los Reyes. The event will start at 19:30 with the celebration of a Mass, concelebrated by the Episcopal Vicar of Vicariate I, Hernán González Gil, and Pastor Jose M. Marin, who from the beginning has helped build the church.
The parish, still provisional prefabricated structure was erected in December 2010. In February 2011 the first Mass was held outdoors. After a year and a half, last April placed the hut, inside which was able to celebrate Holy Thursday. Blessed Manuel Gonzalez Parish is located in the new district of San Sebastian de los Reyes, whose population consists mostly of young families with children. |
